The Why: The tale of a sexually repressed housewife that takes a day job as a prostitute. Luis Buñuel’s uses some interesting narrative techniques - including a decent amount of bizarre fantasy sequences that range from gothic to S&M in theme - to explore sexuality. While not for everyone, this is at the very least a unique and memorable viewing experience.
